Congratulations to Marsha on the eight year anniversary of writing her column for the LEO. And, thanks for the "d'oh" moment this morning: I never realized that "on a wait" meant anything other than anticipating a free table. Sometimes, the kitchen needs to catch up.

Thanks, Jay, and everyone who reads my column. That's its actual purpose: to give diners insight into the inner workings of restaurants, their policies, methods, and the experiences of their employees! So I love when someone reads something I wrote and sort of realizes something they never realized before!
