Takoyaki in Louisville?

by kenny.bailey » Thu Feb 04, 2016 10:34 am

Hi,

I'm going to be in the Louisville area today and again in a few weeks. I tried looking on yelp and other sites for any Japanese restaurants that offer the popular Osaka snack, Takoyaki (Octopus balls).

Haven't had any luck, was wondering if anyone knew if this was an option in Louisville.

Thanks,
Kenny

I've seen them at Hiko-a-Mon in Westport Village ... I'm not sure if it's a regular thing or an occasional specialty, but it would be worth giving them a call ...

Hey good to know! I still want to find menchi katsu, and some place that will do okonomiyaki on the regular. Some food trucks in town have dabbled, and I think Dragon Kings Daughter, Barcode, like the old Maido have some offerings, but I think Japanese street food would be a really cool concept.

Make sure you ask for quiet octopi if you only want the appetizer size serving.
