LEO Weekly, Louisville’s locally owned and operated alternative news publication, has an immediate opening for a managing editor.The primary responsibilities of this position are planning content for the print issue in conjunction with the executive editor, overseeing daily work in the editorial department and managing freelance writers. The secondary focus of this position is working with the editor-at-large to develop LEO’s online content.
Our managing editor must be an experienced journalist (preference given to candidates with a hard news or political background) with outstanding writing, editing and managerial skills. The ideal candidate will have an established social media presence.
