'Street food' restaurant - Riverside Drive in Jeff

by JustinHammond » Fri Jan 29, 2016 11:38 am

http://www.newsandtribune.com/news/stre ... 77450.html

The menu will feature "chef-driven street food" with a "first-rate mixology program" and an "exceptional beer and wine list," Brandon Denton, principal partner at Denton Floyd Real Estate Group, said.
"The idea is to eat well and not die from it-for the simple reason that that would be the end of your eating." - Jim Harrison

That has a lot of potential, although I'm curious to know more about "chef-driven street food."

"chef driven" "street food" and "mixology" seem to create a very interesting juxtaposition here. This will be interesting.

I want to say as kindly as I can, meaning no disrespect to any real-estate folks among us, that these words came out of the mouth of a developer/realtor, a person who is in the business of selling property and trying to make it sound wonderful.

I hope it's great. I want me some "chef-driven street food." But my plan is to wait and see.

I've been over there many times these past 2 yrs or so. What is lacking is just something inexpensive and simple that one can grab and continue walking. Its nice to see many sit down places, and I've been to several of them. There is good beer and even cigars and bourbon. The area is shaping up to be one of the best places to hang out in the Ville. But the bridge-crossers are often looking for a quick, simple fix.

You know, like you get all the time on the street... :P
I was at 1st and Oak today and a guy was selling that exact same pairing. What are the chances?

But, again, I'll give Robin's realtor the benefit of the doubt and check it out for myself.
