Varanese to Host Burger Bonanza Fundraiser on January 19
Varanese Restaurant will host a Burger Bonanza fund-raiser in memory of Tommy Leanhart on Tuesday, Jan. 19, from 5-11 p.m. Tommy, who died of cancer in June, was a beloved friend and neighbor of Chef John Varanese, and he loved the Wagyu Beef served at Varanese. In Tommy's honor, Varanese will offer a special Okonomiyaki Wagyu Cheeseburger for one night only. The burger platter will cost $50, with $35 from each burger sold benefitting the Tommy Leanhart Blood Cancer Research Fund at the University of Louisville's James Graham Brown Cancer Center.
