"Savory" opening on 5th St

by James Natsis » Mon Dec 14, 2015 5:44 pm

This place is expecting to open very soon just south of Pestos in the former soul food place on 5th St downtown. The owner says they'll do breakfast (IHOP type of food in his words) and lunch (mainly grilled and simple stuff). The place has undegone a simple, yet a clean, fresh makeover.

I feel the same way... By the way, if you are looking for simimlar fare and don't mind driving an extra 10 minutes I suggest trying Roof Top on Broadway and Louis Coleman Jr. Dr. They specialize in Jamaican and Soul Food. It is family run and tastes like it!

Yes, thanks, Roof Top does some excellent jerk chicken. I want to go when they have their meat patties, but it's a challenge for me to get out there for lunch during the week (Food4Soul was walking distance from my office). Apparently they're usually sold out by dinner time, which is the only time I've been.
