Discounted tickets forTailspin Ale Fest 2016 will be available this afternoon and tomorrow afternoon only at two local Liquor Barns: Today from 3-7 p.m. at 13401 Shelbyville Road (Middletown Commons), and tomorrow from 3-7 p.m. at 4301 Town Center Drive (Springhurst). Tailspin, a large craft-beer tasting held in a World War II aircraft hangar at Bowman Field, raises money for Louisville's Dare to Care Food Bank.
Four hundred general admission tickets, usually $45 plus fees, will be sold for $35 each; 100 VIP tix, normally $75 plus fees, will go for $70 each.
During these pre-sale events, you can also enjoy a pint or a taster, meet organizers Tisha Gainey and Trevor Cravens (president of Draft Magazine) and featured brewery reps, and get a Dare to Care Food Bank Paper Stein with your name on it for a $1 donation.
This program raised more than $3,000 at three Liquor Barn stores for the 2015 event. This year the stein program will be featured at all six Louisville-area Liquor Barn locations from now through Tailspin Day, Feb. 20, 2016. Tailspin Ale Fest has sold out the previous two years.
