As I responded on the HotBytes Facebook page, statistics are tough to figure, but I'm guessing that the metro merger really messed with our per capita numbers. Limit the range to the old city limits, or inside the Watterson, it would probably be a fairer match with those other urban centers.

I see where some of those cities are ahead with but I'm very surprised about some of them. Detroit certainly stands out at the city I would expect on that list or at least to be above the.

Looking a little closer at the article I don't think Louisville was included in the city they took data from. It states that they surveyed cities that have a metropolitan population of 2.5 million or more and Louisville doesn't fit into that category despite how huge certain mayors in the past say we are!

I always thought Bowlingreen had a disproportionate number of restaurants = homes. We used to joke that architects stopped designing houses with kitchens in them in Bowlingreen. (But that was 15-20 years ago so....)

There is a time and place to use actually city numbers vs MSA numbers vs etc.

And this is a clear place to use MSA numbers.
