We dined at Le Moo last night for anniversary dinner.
We walked in without any reservations and were seated.
We both ordered the half Caesar Salad ($9). It is served with a poached egg and a piece of bacon. We both enjoyed the salad. She ordered the prime fillet and asparagus ($39) and it was good. I ordered the 16oz dry aged bone in strip ($62). The steak was extremely fatty. I'm not adverse to fat but it was bad. They have a 16oz dry aged ribeye. So the server asked about our meal and I asked if I was served the ribeye, I really could not tell the difference and the steak was extremely fatty even for a ribeye.
Anyway, I was very disappointed for the price of the steak but was not going to complain. The server said if it's not good then for the price I should order something else so finally I agreed.
I ordered the 8oz prime filet also at that point. It came out fast. I ordered rare and it was not only rare but still the temp of the walk in cooler when it came out. So cold even on the edge that I cut through and the middle was plain cold, I could not eat it. So I told the server and she took it back.
The new filet came out fast and it was cut in half before it reached me (odd) but was fine as were the sides that we both ordered.
I will say that this the first week, the server took care of us as did the manger. They did not charge for my order at all, just hers.
The quality of the dry aged bone in fillet was not good from what I have experienced at other high end steak restaurants. I was expecting an amazing steak from the dry aging and price but it didn't turn out that way. I will also say we both had upset stomachs but will not go into detail.
