Buffalo Wings and Rings?

I assume this is the same failed concept from a few years ago. I remember 2 local locations, Chamberlain Ln and Bardstown Rd, but both seemed to be somewhat mediocre.

I wonder why this wouldn't be noted in the Courier's article?

It looks like it really isn't a story at all. Rather it just looks like a press release from the company that the reporter put a short paragraph in front of. I'm quite sure he didn't do any research on the information he was given at all, he just cut and pasted it. That's the kind of reporting that's normal these days for the CJ as well as most other newspapers in the United States.

In addition to that it's obvious that the company doesn't want to scare off any potential investors/franchisees by talking about the failed previous stores here Louisville.

They are remodeling a place in Etown for a Wings & Rings. Unfortunately for the franchisee, bw3 announced plans 2 blocks up the road.

I'm not a fan of either. Food from frozen bag to deep fryer along with 30 taps of monotony doesn't interest me.

It was strange to see the one on Bardstown fail. I was in there a few times, and it was always pretty busy. Agree with later comments that the food was not very good, not that I'd have expected it to be, though.

Isn't that kinda what buffalo wings ARE? I mean, the only things that set one apart from another are price and sauce. Maybe there are places in town doing never-frozen wings, but I'm hard-pressed to say where or what difference it'd make in taste.

Ever tried Momma's Pickles and Mustard's wings? They make them from the butchered wings of all the smoked chicken they sell, so limited quantity (though I suspect at this point they are so popular that they must be supplementing with some kind of pre-fab), and they are definitely not run-of-the-mill frozen. The owner is so proud of them that sometimes one will wind up on your bbq plate just to entice! I am a-ok with frozen wings, but I have to say these really knock any I've had out of the park.

Yup. Momma's made quite a bit of money off giving me a free wing. I wouldn't have paid that much for them if I hadn't tried one. They're really good (but, I think the most expensive in town?).
