What's being built...

In the parking lot in front of Kroger at the intersection of Westport Rd and Hurstbourne Ln? Anyone know?

The only construction around their I've noticed recently is the Wendy's out by the Westport Road entrance. They are doing a major remodeling of it! Is that what you saw or are they starting something else?

Something new for sure. It is behind the Chase bank. It is all fenced off.

I just noticed that the other day! My Sunday job is right across the street, so it's hard to miss. It doesn't appear to be connected to Wendy's, though. I'll keep an eye on it and post here if a sign goes up.

Wasn't that a Burger King that they flattened? Wonder if it's a re-do of that.

Yep, and this definitely messes up my straight diagonal shot from St. Thomas across the parking lot to Kroger.

A few years ago, they flattened the Burger King cattywampus from the Old Sears building, the old White Castle (not to be confused with the new neighboring White Castle/Old KFC), the Old Bacons/Old Burdorfs, and the Old Edwards Photo/"Free Smells" Jimmy Johns (not to be confused with the Papa Johns by the Chillers/Old Heine Brothers/Old Verizon in the Old Boston Market/Hardees). I've not been to the new Burger King-- I didn't care for the old one (and apparently lots of others didn't either).

Is that Westport Village? If yes, than I think it might be Artesano Vino Tapas Y Mas, which will be chef Fernando Martinez's newest restaurant.

Westport Plaza. Westport between Goose Creek and Hurstbourne, with a big Kroger and the Louisville Athletic Club, County Clerk's office and a CVS, with a KFC, Wendy's and White Castle across the front. On the other side of the road, Zachary Taylor School and St Thomas Episcopal Church.

It's probably a bank . . . there are only 37 within a mile of there, so we definitely need more of them!
