For more information on what's involved in a ramen restaurant, see the movie Tampopo, a "Japanese noodle Western" with Ken Watanabi (in one of his first roles) . . . think Shane coming to town to help the local noodle lady!

Rumplings made me think of a Japanese-American comedy, a chick flick  but nice. The trailer may show what I mean ...

While that is fun, really you must see Tampopo . . . Roger Ebert called it a GREAT movie, and there's a whole cult around it (the writer really did channel Shane when writing it!). Here is a scene from it on how to eat ramen (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L9m6FoSw4jE), and if you search on youtube you can watch the entire movie! The trailer is also on-line at youtube . . . It's designed as a comedy, sort of a cross between a pastiche of Shane, a food movie, a culture movie, a Western, and a comedy.
