21st Birthday

by donielle.coleman » Tue May 05, 2015 2:24 am

So I turn 21 in June and I am looking for the perfect place to enjoy dinner with my family and friends.
I want to go somewhere that doesn't service American cuisine, looking for something different that will be memorable.

Open to all suggestions!
-Also must be have space for a party of 20-30.

Donielle, happy almost-birthday!

Seviche might be the perfect place. Great food, great service, one of the city's top restaurants. It's not cheap eats, but it won't cost you an arm and a leg, either. And I'll bet if you let them know it's your special birthday event, they'll knock themselves out for you.

I would totally recommend Queen of Sheba on Taylorsville Rd. not only is the food exotic and delicious, but the communal dining for a large group would be fun. The food isreally great, and they serve beer and wine. African cuisine, Ethiopian mainly (I think). Reasonably priced.

Cena can probably do a great job. It's wonderful upscale Italian food, absolutely top qualitly and taste, won't break the bank, and most importantly has a WONDERFUL bartender and interesting cocktails (remembering way back to my 21st, and what truly was important!).

GuacaMole also won't break the bank, is great Mexican food, and has a wide range of marguaritas, daiquiris, mohitos, et al.

Also, it's American, but Equus is expensive with the best bartender in the city. Doc Crow's in Cajun/BBQ mix, with a hundred bourbons. Marketplace is American, but again a great bar area and fun decor. Agree with Robin on Seviche (Latin with good bar), and would love Milkwood but again it's not all that ethnic.
