Mulligan's up for auction

by Rob S » Mon Apr 27, 2015 9:24 pm

They are auctioning off the old Mulligan's/Kaelin's building on May 14. Robin, any chance you can attend the auction to ask the winner what plans they have for the building? Such a great spot - my fear is that they turn it into another hipster joint. Mulligan's was never consistently good but the location kept it afloat.

Rob, in my experience for years as a reporter, the buyers just about always clam up at the time of sale. Could be interesting, though!

I wonder if Bellarmine might have designs on it.

While it's certainly close to their campus is not adjacent to it and they haven't shown any desire to go into the buying of small individual pieces of property in the vicinity. They been looking to develop larger pieces of land they have access to and have even approached the city about taking over the park at the corner of Newburgh and Travillian to use as athletic fields.
