Restaurants open today, Dec. 25th?

by Casey J. » Tue Dec 25, 2007 3:29 pm

I am aware of Vietnam Kitchen and Sweet Peas being open. Does anyone know of other restaurants serving dinner today? I can't get anyone to answer at Sweet Peas, so I cannot count on there being available seating.

Casey, the new Red Pepper Chinese, in the former Shariat's/Maharaja/Bourgbon Bros. on Brownsboro Road, is open, and it's excellent. Not just another chopsticks house but a quality Sichuanese chef, offering both Chinese-American and authentic Chinese menus.

I just checked and the English Grill has been booked for weeks. We were hoping for some traditional dining, but it seems out of reach.

It's a long shot, but did you try Corbett's? I don't know if they are open today , but if they are maybe they are not full as word may not have gotten around yet. Definitely right up there with dining at English Grill.

No answer at Corbett's. They have been giving out two different web addresses over the last week or so and neither of them ever work.

I would not expect Corbett's to be open today. It's pretty much going to be either the big hotel restaurants (which are probably booked) or the Asian ethnic spots.

One possible exception, John E's in Buechel is open, I believe, but may also be booked.

Sweet Peas

by Casey J. » Tue Dec 25, 2007 8:13 pm

Dinner was great, the place was packed and the servers were all in good spirits.

We got back in town a day early and were worried about finding somewhere for dinner. The staff at Sweet Peas did a great job !!!!

THANKS !!!!
