Lexington Restaurant Question

by Leann C » Mon Dec 24, 2007 6:59 pm

I realize that this is the "Louisville" restaurant forum, but I was hoping that some of the forumites would have some Lexington ideas. Here's the deal.

My husband and I live here Louisville and my parents live in Corbin, KY. To save us the five hour round-trip drive, we're trying to put together a plan to meet up in Lexington on Christmas day for either a late lunch or dinner. Can anyone give me some ideas of Lexington restaurants that might be open tomorrow? I can't believe I waited until 5:50 pm on Christmas Eve to figure this out!!! Aaargh.

Doesn't have to be fine dining, but a step up from Applebees would be great! Thanks in advance.

We have a great thread or a couple great threads on this already. I think part of it includes some material I submitted for an article on Lex restaurants in Food & Dining magazine. Did you try a search yet?

A bit farther than Lexington is Berea...Boone Tavern was great fun years ago. I have not heard about it in years....would make a great x-mas dinner type place if it's still up-to-snuff.

One of my favorites, and I heard that it is undergoing a massive renovation.
