Clifton Donut Shop

This one's a winner. They're in the old Chicago Gyros location and I've become a regular. There's no better way to show your coworkers you love them than bringing some fresh donuts!

Ron loves the cake, Ricky enjoys the apple fritters. Me? I will destroy some glazed with a hot cup of joe.

Their service is super-sweet. It's a family run affair. They're from Cambodia. I had the pleasure of meeting the owner's father yesterday. You can tell he was there for the Khmer Rouge. Personally, I love supporting immigrants living the American Dream.

If you're in the neighborhood, I would highly recommend stopping in. Thank me later.

Do they offer anything special besides the usual American donut fare? In other words, since they are Cambodian, are there any ethnic offerings?

We gave them a try this morning. Sampled four - traditional cake, blueberry cake, bavarian cream and apple fritter. All were excellent. Blueberry cake was my favorite. Owners seem real nice. Three people in line ahead of me at 9:15. Glad to have them in the neighborhood.

"old Chicago Gyros" I have no ideas where that was/is. Can you direct me from the old Sears store?
Said in jest, but, really I have no idea where Chicago Gyros was.

Went this morning and I cannot overstate this: Please do everything you can to support these folks and help them thrive.

The donuts are great, they are reasonably priced, and it is wonderful to have such a convenient donut option in the neighborhood, BUT even if all of that were not true, these are some of the nicest, friendliest people I have ever met. They are a welcome addition to the area and I would love to see them succeed.

Clifton residents, unite!

Everybody here knows that is one of those tough locations. This community did a great job with Red Pepper. I think we can do better with CDShop.

I'll be going back in the morning for a dozen for my team. (and will likely make that a twice or thrice weekly trip)

Stopped in this morning and got a bavarian cream and a strawberry glazed. SO GOOD! The donuts are so fresh and light......I highly recommend them.
