What: Asian New Year Dinner & Auction and Year of the Sheep After Party

Why: 6 emerging Asian and Asian American Chefs
This year’s event will bring together six emerging Asian and Asian American chefs under the direction of Chef Peng Looi of Asiatique and August Moon Chinese Bistro.
Each chef will prepare an hors d’oeuvre and dinner course, during this evening of Asian inspired culinary delights. Our chefs are James Moran, from Seviche a Latin Restaurant; Serge Katz, from VINCENZo’s, Ming Pu, of Asiatique; Robbi Santos from Ward 426; Kristen Bucayu from Proof and Jeff Siang from Simply Thai.
This black-tie event is the largest fundraiser Crane House produces and generates over $50,000 for educational and programming initiatives.
Following the dinner and auction, the Crane House Young Professionals will host The Year of the Sheep after party featuring food from Joy Luck, henna tattoo artists, performances, Poker and Black Jack tables, silent auction and a cash bar. Crane House, The Asia Institute, is a community resource that promotes understanding of Asian cultures and heritage through education, outreach and the arts. The organization offers dynamic programming and outreach for all ages and interests which include K-12 educational programs, strengthening the civic presence of the Asian communities within Louisville and providing opportunities to engage in Asian culture abroad.
