Help talk me into it...

by Kim H » Mon Feb 16, 2015 3:02 pm

I made open table reservations for our last option for a gorgeous meal at Palermo. But it's for Thurs, and the wind chill is expected to be -8. I'm cold at 50. It's our last chance, and we can't miss this, right?! But thinking about offering our reservations to someone, because that is painfully cold. Please talk some sense into me.

Just bundle up in a big coat, and a shot of bourbon (as anti-freeze) before you go and enjoy the meal! You certainly don't want to miss one last meal there before they close.

Go girl, go! It is so worth it, as I am sure you are aware. I think this is one of those times you just need to dress in multiple layers and lot forget your "big girl" panties.

You're right, you're right! I'll suck it up. I forget how parking is there? It's been a while since we've been.

Parking is available out back, but when we went there last week we were able to park out front. You can't miss this most memorable "last" dinner, Kim!

You're right, Gayle, I need to suck it up and put on my giant coat! I'm so sad they're leaving us, would kick myself if I missed this. Thanks for the perspective!

You gotta go. You'll not have this chance ever again. It's well worth the cold.

Thank you all! I needed a nudge into sanity. It's absolutely the last chance, so I will wear an electric jersey and get my parrilla on!

Anyone have Palermo pics to keep me motivated? Forecast for tomorrow night looks brutal, and I can't find any photos online. Provoleta, La Parrillada, garlic fries?

Okay, Kim; I know the weather sucks. However, you will feel guilt pangs for the rest of your life, if you don't suck it up and get over there! Just do it!

It's now or never Kim! You've got the reservations so use it, you won't get another chance.

Thanks for the link, Robin! I swear there used to be pics of the Provoletta out there, but the Parillda pic definitely helps! (Saw you on the news this afternoon, btw! Happy Ash Wednesday! I'm not Catholic/Episcopalian, so not sure if that's an appropriate greeting :-\)

Gayle, you're cracking me up! To you and Mark, we are going! I was debating after this morning's weather report, but then I looked at the menu.... sigh. We'll miss them.
