From the CourierJournal. Next to Louvino, I think.
A new stop for burgers and beer is taking over the former La Bodega location in the Highlands, 1604 Bardstown Road.
Stout Burgers & Beers, a Los Angeles staple for gourmet burgers and draft microbrew beers, is expanding to Louisville. This location, along with a slated Nashville restaurant, will be the first outside of its original L.A. market, where Stout Burgers & Beers has three successful neighborhood locations.
Executive chef Alex Kagianaris is currently developing Louisville-specific burger specials.
In addition to gourmet beef burgers, Stout's menu offers veggie burgers, chicken sandwiches and salads. Thirty diverse specialty beers, including local varieties, will also be on tap, as well as a full bar featuring wine and spirits, and, of course, lots of bourbon.
The simple, upscale burger joint will offer comfortable, rounded, dark leather booths, custom refurbished cedar crafted walls and concrete floors. The bar will be lined with reclaimed bricks and a hammered-copper draft wall. Outdoor seating will be seasonally available.
Stout will be open for lunch and dinner, with opening expected before Derby 2015. For more information about Stout Burgers & Beers, visit http://www.stoutburgersandbeers.com.
