Westport Village - Chocolate Martini Bar space

by Robin F. » Thu Jan 15, 2015 2:41 pm

Any news on what's going into this space? Renovations must have just started since I'm past there on a somewhat regular basis. Could this be Fernando's rumored tapas place?

I have heard from a good source that it will be a dental office. Or that was the way it stood about a month or so ago.

That wouldn't surprise me since that end has quite a few service businesses.

Chocolate Bar won't be a restaurant space.

My understanding is that the space Fernando is considering is the former AP Crafter's.

The to see that somebody is going to finally use that AP Crafters site although it seems like the location of jinxed and that doesn't have a lot of parking convenient to it! I know that Fernando has a lot of ambition but is going to have to reach the breaking point pretty soon opening so many restaurants so quickly.

Still, a tapas place is exactly what is needed. Mojitos is slammed all the time. That location has been empty for quite a while.

I could be wrong about this, but it appears to me that Fernando has been gracious about declining to compete in the exact same niches with his friends and former partners at Havana Rumba and Mojito.

Of course, that could also have been an agreement with a time limit.

Couple of months ago, I think. I'm pretty sure there was a short discussion here, but it didn't generate a lot of weeping and gnashing of teeth.
