Corbetts going to James Beard House

Things are rolling fast as Corbett's comes online: They've already been invited to Beard House ... good excuse for an early spring trip to NYC?

Cindy & I ate at Corbett's last night. Suffice it to say that all of the adjectives already posted are true. The food is certainly up to the already demanding standards of Chef Corbett and his very talented team. The pork chop, prime filet, Ky Bibb salads and apple tart dessert were excellent and need no glowing description by me.

I hope that Dean and company win many awards for the saving and renovation of that house. The space inside is soothingly sophisticated but utterly without pretension. Warm and welcoming.

The service was beyond exemplary. Our waiter was Jarrett and with his warmth, understated dignity and bonhomie truly elevated the evening from dining out to celebrating a truly remarkable evening.

Thank you.
