Merry Christmas all!

Tonight I am finishing up by wrapping and making a big batch of Chai Tea in a Jar for bonus gifts for people. (This is after I get back from Vietnam Kitchen!)

Have a great holiday!

Merry Christmas, guys.

I'm getting ready to join battle for the last time with a gingerbread house I have come to hate (it's mutual). But that bitch will be finished tonight, or I'm going to pour gasoline on it and burn it in the alley.

Wish me luck.

And hey - if I prevail and manage to get it looking more like the building it's supposed to look like and less like the shack in "The Blair Witch Project", I'll post a picture of it myself!

But, hey, everyone, I'm mostly kidding. I love Christmas! I just hate this gingerbread house because I had such high hopes (and I'm such an unrealistic perfectionist). I AM going to finish it though - one way or the other (royal icing or gasoline? who knows? I'll keep you posted.)

Hee hee.

Hey Marsha, send us a picture when you're finished. Buon Natale to all!

I did actually reign supreme over the gingerbread house, but we ran it over and set it up during the dinner rush and I FORGOT TO BRING THE CAMERA!!!

I'll get a picture today or tomorrow....sorry, guys. Happy last-minute shopping.

Congratulations! - I'd love to see it. Your original description of wrestling with it cracked me up. Even if we're not bakers, we all have our own "gingerbread house" issues to deal with from time to time, so I know the feeling. Merry Christmas.
