Great Wall has become our go-to for carry out Chinese food, and I really hope they keep the woks fired up to their usual high standard. I always enjoyed showing up at the old place to watch the line of cooks work their magic. Never long to wait (10 minutes), and the food was always hot and good there. The egg foo yung and kung po, oh yeah.
I will miss being able to duck into Kroger for my lottery ticket and a few odds and ends (don't tell my wife).
In other Dirty Kroger / LowBrow (I LOVE that name) news:
- The space that once housed I Heart Sushi, and more recently defunct Shelia’s Southern Style Cuisine (next to the payday loan store) has been resurrected as the Dry Cleaner that moved from next to the Dirty Kroger.
- In the small building next to Andalous Restaurant that was a smoke shop for the past year or so, and before that Superchef’s and Chicago Dogs is vacant again with a banner outside announcing DONUTS!
- No sighting of Bobby Flay. He must be off grillin' and chillin' somewhere.
