Marric's

by Richard S. » Sun Nov 09, 2014 3:05 pm

Just got around to visiting Marric's in Fern Creek, first for lunch during the week and then breakfast today. We thoroughly enjoyed it; freshly prepared comfort food with entrees in the range of $6.99-$7.99 or so. My wife had chicken fried chicken for lunch while I had the oyster po-boy. She got sides of mashed potatoes (fresh) and steamed broccoli, while I got freshly made fries (sort of more like thick potato chips). For breakfast this morning I had a southwestern chicken omelette and she had stuffed French toast.

If you've ever eaten at Elizabeth's in New Orleans that's what I would compare Marric's to. Nothing pretentious; just well-prepared food at a reasonable price. Plus, it's about 10 minutes from our house.

I have been to Marric's. Simple food prepared well. Service very good.
