I was just talking to Cris at Atypical BBQ about what we thought Louisville needed restaurant-wise, and he said ramen shop. Looks like it's going to happen a lot sooner than I expected. Looking forward to it!

Any news on this place? According to the article, it was due to open this week. However, I looked in the window last week and it seems that little was being done to the former Baby D's interior.

I hope it opens soon. A cup of fresh ramen sounds great on a cold December day.

I put vegetables in your desserts, white chocolate with your fish and other nonsense stuff that you think shouldn't make sense, but coax the nonsense into something that makes complete sense in your mouth. Just open your mind, mouth and eat.

Great article! Funny he never mentioned Roux, though. Did he know about the connection?

He knows about the connection between Rumplings and Roux. If you look at the last few entries he's posted on his page, he's covered both restaurants and the connection between the two.

Justin actually is a an ex-restaurant guy and has worked with both Griffin and Chip in the past. My first time meeting him, but felt like an old friend.

The interview was conducted over almost 3 hours of video (and beer), and I think he's waiting to get some footage of the first few opening nights to compile it into a proper interview/montage for the site.

The photo for the post is a still from said interview. I expect it to be pretty entertaining and informative for everyone to watch. Really delves into the concept of the restaurant and some personal stories many may know of, but we haven't shared in such a way on a public platform.

I'll definitely link it once it's completed.
(If no one beats me to it.)

Cool. And it WAS a great article! Personally, I thought it odd that he'd go into that much detail - good detail - and not focus on the wild-and-crazy reality that you guys are doing this while Roux still has that new-restaurant smell. If i were his editor, I might have asked him about that. But that's just me, and I'm not his editor. )
