Nut-free cupcakes?

by Laura SS » Mon Sep 22, 2014 11:45 am

Baked goods emergency! My son's fifth birthday is Thursday, and apparently the woman in the Kroger bakery a couple of weeks ago was mistaken when she told me they could do peanut-free cupcakes. There's an allergy in his class, so it needs to be nut-free, and they have to be store-bought for the school to allow them.

Where in town can do 24 store-bought and labeled chocolate cupcakes that are peanut-free for pick-up on Wednesday, Sept. 24?

Laura, you might check in with Jessica at Sweet Surrender Dessert Cafe on Frankfort Avenue (Clifton end). They do awesome desserts and stuff to order ... can't testify to the nut-free issue, but it's worth a try!

Laura,
Please give me a call tomorrow at 384-2667. The bakery is closed today but we open at 10 tomorrow. We are a dedicated gluten, soy, and nut free facility and we do lots of cupcakes for schools. We would be happy to do it for you. :)

Annie May's are the best. :) Any place that uses nuts at any point in their facility really can't do nut-allergy-friendly cupcakes, so Annie May's is your best bet.
