Here's your weekly portion of server snark, hot from the Kitchenette!

Restaurant Customers Who Stubbornly Refused to Understand Food Words

Everyone (or at least every young adult) should work in a restaurant for a while. Nothing will teach you about the diversity of thought and thinking (or, in some cases, lack of thinking) as waiting tables or bartending. You'll also learn how ego plays an important roll in almost all disputes.

And because we haven't said it enough even here in this forum - good food servers are worth their weight in gold. Please tip them generously.

I always like laughing at the stories but I did find one thing interesting in the story about chicken fried steak this time. The server stated that what the customers expect Chicken Fried Steak to be because since that had the word steak in the name it was obviously beef! I wonder what that server would think that Tuna Steak should be?....

steak prepared in the style of tuna?

As for Chicken Fried Steak, I think the whole thing could be solved with a "-" between "chicken" and "fried." Then "chicken-fried" is the adjective it is meant to be, not just a sequence of ambiguous words. Pay attention in school kids.
