Cunningham's. Breading not too thick. Doesn't overpower the onion like Kingfish. Hill Street has the same virtue.

My favorites were the fried onions at the old Cape Codder. Not to be confused with the onion rings. Hungry Pelican does a nice replication of them now. They're one of those crave foods like castles.
