by Robin Garr » Mon Aug 25, 2014 8:37 pm

Here's a note from Jeremy about a new daily event at Meta!

Meta wrote:We're working downtown, want to beat the traffic, maybe unwind after work-- but who wants to slug down shots of cheap bourbon before dinner? Let's do as the rest of the world does! Apéritifs and apéritif cocktails are low to medium alcohol, inexpensive, refreshing and delicious! Come to Meta for our exclusive Aper Hours- specially priced apéritif cocktails, group carafes and discounted apéritifs- enjoy with soda, with tonic, with sparkling, neat, on the rocks. Your choice. Bar snacks too. Unwind-- downtown, at Meta.

Monday-Friday 4:30-7:30, official launch is this Friday August 29

Thanks Robin! We are very very excited about this. One of my favorite things about going to Europe is to enjoy a Campari and soda or a Cocchi Americano on the rocks in the late afternoon or before dinner. I've often wondered why happy hour in America so often just consists of cheaper hard alcohol or watery beer. How often have you heard friends or family member return from a trip to Europe or South America and wax on nostalgically of drinking aperitifs in the late afternoon? Why leave it over there?!

We're hoping to foster some greater downtown post-work community and maybe turn some folks onto something they haven't tried, or see as strictly a vacation drink. Plus- its a straight shot to I-65, the Highlands, or lexington road right from Meta!

Those cocktails sound devine!
