Welcome to the Louisville Restaurants Forum, a civil place for the intelligent discussion of the local restaurant scene and just about any other topic related to food and drink in and around Louisville.
Any suggestions for downtown dining in Nashville? Something upscale and innovative as it is for a weekend trip and want to have first class experience.
It's hard to describe this place, the website has the blueprint and yes, it does include a bowling alley, but the restaurant itself is wonderful if not truly upscale. It's in an old converted bldg by the river. Very industrial looking. http://pinewoodsocial.com/
I'm sure others will mention Merchant's- casual downstairs and upscale upstairs. Had a lovely seafood risotto with squid ink a couple weeks ago. And they polish your shoes while you eat!!! http://merchantsrestaurant.com/

Good choices. I've had several meals at Etch, and all were top notch. I've been to Husk twice, and the first visit was very meh, but the second was much better.
