Suggestions for Sunday brunch

by Carla G » Mon Aug 25, 2014 3:54 pm

Looking for a place for Sunday brunch or lunch with a bar. Must be close to the Watterson as possible @ either Taylorsville Rd or further west. We've done Selena's in the past with great success but that's too far out for this particular date. Help!

With your geographical requirements, I'm thinking Wild Eggs on Dutchmans, maybe. Or wait! How about Winston's at Sullivan? Right off the Watterson at Bardstown!

Louvino is doing Brunch and they have a nice bar. They do a small plates brunch that was very inventive and tasty. It's not too far of from the Watterson. Bardstown rd and Bonney Castle.

Great suggestions all. (And that's why I checked here.)
Thanks!

I would add Mussel & Burger Bar to the mix. They do a fun brunch. No buffet

Silver Dollar

El Camino

Gralehaus - Great food with beer, not a full bar.

Also, I think Louvino only serves beer, wine, and bourbon.

Carla,

Without your GeoLocation restrictions, The Rudyard Kipling is the place to go, especially if you are taking guests. Amy & Will have transformed Sunday's there into a special dining experience. Open at 10 and not really busy till 11+ they have a full buffet of foods, an omelet station and of course a complete bar. Local musicians. Hope for the Hot Brown Casserole and one of Amy's home made desserts. But they know their customers too and have Nord's Doughnuts for those of us who need that maple long john with bacon.

Loop 22 has Sunday brunch from 11-3. We have a full build your own bloody Mary option, different flavored mimosas, and plenty of good food for pretty darn cheap. We are located in the Douglass Loop a half mile from taylorsville rd.

Ronnie,

If you do let us know in advance and maybe we can slip down to meet you.

In fact... anyone interested in meeting Sunday at The Rudyard Kipling for bunch buffet?

Another vote for the Rud's Sunday brunch buffet. I found it varied and fresh. We had always gone to a place on Bardstown Rd for the vegetarian options but frankly its become a budget buster. The Rud's our new place!
