by Robin Garr » Sat Aug 16, 2014 8:01 pm

Boombozz Craft Pizza & Taphouse to Open Newest Location on S. Hurstbourne Parkway

Boombozz Craft Pizza & Taphouse will open its sixth Louisville area location in early November with a 200-seat capacity restaurant and bar with outdoor patio seating. The restaurant will occupy 5,500 square feet in the former BD’s Mongolian Grill located near the South Hurstbourne Parkway and Taylorsville road corridor.

“The South Hurstbourne Parkway area has been on the radar for several years, we had been waiting for the right opportunity to present itself,” said Tony Palombino, founder and chief executive officer of Boombozz Craft Pizza & Taphouse.

BoomBozz Craft Pizza & Taphouse, named one of the 50 best pizzas in the United States by Food Network, will offer an exciting mix of award-winning pizza, craft beer and social sports with over 35 large high definition televisions. The neighborhood atmosphere will invite friends and family to enjoy our shareable “Social Plates,” vast selection of selection of local and regional craft beers and other unique and original menu items.

Didn't know BD's had closed! They were just open last week.

Any idea who is actually operating the new space? I've noticed distinct differences in the quality of food produced in different Boombozz locations.

Tony lurks here regularly, so perhaps he'll jump in and enlighten us. I do have the impression that Boombozz offers franchise opportuities and that not all the local shops are under the same management, but the menus and the overall vibe are certainly consistent.

Have to disagree on vibe if by vibe you mean beer selection. :D

The differences between the taphouses and the just pizza places was vast, IMO.
