Any word as to why it closed? I never went into the place, so I don't know if it was a decent restaurant/hang out or not.

I drive by there often and didn't even realize it had closed!

Kevin Gibson gave it a decidedly negative report for HotBytes/LEO back in 2008, when it opened, and I never heard of it changing much.

NO word from the owner according to Business First

http://www.bizjournals.com/louisville/n ... loses.html

Also says they owed the IRS last year and Metro Revenue this year. Those folks don't play. :|

I know they have had problems with intoxicants and fights in both the business and parking lot according to my law enforcement friends. No one I know that went there was impressed.

Word on the street is that one of the investors might buy them out and reopen in two weeks. We'll see.

I understand why sinking ships don't let their crew know they've hit an iceberg, but this particular liner employed a LOT of people.

Didn't a woman run over and kill her husband in the parking lot not too long ago?

All I know is mixing a bar and a kids' play place seems like a recipe for disaster. I don't get it.

Never had an inspiration to go and can't say I'm sorry to see it close.

That was pretty much Kevin's conclusion in the 2008 review. Him, and everyone else who heard about the place.

We got two little ones so we stop by here and there over the winter months. Its a great place for kids and the dining area is attractive (but noisy obviously) and the food pretty decent. I really hope someone can reopen it. It is a very good concept for those of us looking for that type of evening.

I had been probably 2 or 3 times for kids birthday parties. Couple of times we ordered food and it was pretty terrible. I mean i guess i can kind of get the concept, the parents can have a drink to take the edge off while the kids get to play. But in reality I'm sure you had plenty of idiots getting wasted and not watching their kids. If he thought it would turn into a sports bar at night after the kids leave or something, that was a pretty unrealistic expectation.

I think the place could be successful if they just focus on the kids. Get rid of the bar and serve some decent pizza or appetizers. Just make it an upscale chucky cheese.

Everything I heard about the place was bad. All the food was supposedly frozen and microwaved.

"I heard" 'supposedly" .....ok, this is good sourcing.

Incredible Dave's was not a destination dining choice. However, for those looking for a kids place first, and then perhaps a beer and pizza the place fared much better than Chuck E Cheese or Puzzle Fun Dome.

Dave and Busters shows that the model works. And I think it has its market niche.

Dave and Buster's is marketed as an adult playground, not a kid paradise like Chuck E Cheese. D&B is marketed to 20 somethings and the food/dining is at Applebee's level if not slightly fancier.

Not the same model at all.
