Nashville Hot Chicken Pop-Up at NABC Bank St.

by Dan Thomas » Mon Aug 04, 2014 3:17 pm

If you have a hankering for some "Nashville Style" Hot Fried Chicken, Come join us at NABC Bank St. Brewhouse, 415 Bank St. in New Albany on Saturday, August 16th from 5:00 to 10:30ish or until the food runs out.
The Louvino Pop-Up by all accounts, was a smashing success! I'm sure we will continue the trend with this theme. I've attached the menu for your viewing pleasure below.

A side note....We are going to try to cook to order as best we can, so please allow extra time for your chicken to come out fresh and piping hot! This will give you ample time to enjoy one or two of the fine NABC beverage offerings while you wait.
We might have to sandbag a few orders to hold under the heat lamp(ALA Popeye's) to keep the flow going. It really depends on how the evening goes. Remember this is a one night event so we may run out of a few things. My advice is to show up early if you have your heart set on anything in particular!
We hope to see many of our HotBytes friends!

Great idea! Definitely filling a much-needed void here in Louisville. Those who haven't tried Nashville-style hot chicken are in for a treat.

I got this! But I'm not out to hurt anyone. I know my way around some fried chicken. Used to cook about 80# a week at the club when I was cheffing there.
Pick your heat level and assume what is on the menu is the right heat level for you! :D
I'll use King's as control group. Hot will be hot, but comfortable and tasty. What I call Stupid is just that. You just want a lot of burn.......

Looking forward to Saturday night. :D
Planning on preparing 120# of chicken which should give us enough for a respectable 85-90 covers. Remember that this is a one night show. If we out of something, that's it for the evening

Speaking as a native Nashvillian and aficionado of hot chicken, I went, and it was a ton of fun! The chicken was delicious, the pimento Mac and cheese genuinely a different, satisfying spin. The greens were absolutely delicious as well. And having it at New Albanian with their top-notch beer is something Prince's, Bolton's, and 400 Degrees can't possibly touch. One thing on the chicken: I got it hot, and thought it could have stood to be a lot hotter. But it was perfectly cooked, no no complaints there. Very very happy with my visit, and hope you make this a regular thing.
