Chops Style BBQ - Crestwood

by Heather L » Wed Jul 30, 2014 4:39 pm

Hey! I am wondering if anyone here has tried "Chops Style BBQ" - he sets up most days at the Parc and Ride in Crestwood. He also was a vendor at the Bullitt County Fair. Anyone tried his food? Thanks!

Haven't tried it -yet- but I have every intention of giving it a try soon. Seems like every time I see him parked there I am in a hurry to get somewhere and don't have time to stop.

I've tried his ribs several times. (I think I posted about them sometime last summer.) the pulled BBQ and the ribs ate both good to sometimes very good. Not such a big fan of the sides (beans, cole slaw) . If it's one of my "meat days" and I see him parked I almost always stop. AND He's a super nice guy.

Update:
All this posting made me crave some Q so, I stopped by the Park N Tarc location and picked up some BBQ chicken (very good, delicately smoked and very tender), a little red potato (halved and grilled and very tasty), and I thought I'd give the slaw a go again. The website said 'blue cheese' slaw and I did not remember it being blue cheese slaw before. Just regular cole slaw. The blue cheese slaw was excellent. In fact it's worth a trip just for it and since I limit my meat to once a month I may just stop there for slaw and potatoes. And a few heady whiffs while I'm there. :D
