HELP FELLOW FOODIES!!!! Suggestions Needed

by Bill Veneman » Thu Dec 13, 2007 3:34 pm

 We're having an in house staff lunch for 15 next Wednesday, and want something different the delivers downtown (no Qdoba, Domino's, Papa Johns, etc. I was told). Thought of Boom Booz, which is probably doable (might have to go and pick it up). Any suggestions? Thanks as always.

Try "The Cafe" whch used to be in Louisville Antique mall and is now on Brent St. I'm pretty sure they will deliver.

Hmmm. If you're going to have to go pick it up anyway, why not do carry-out from Melillos? Yum.

Try this

Hi Bill!

When I worked at a big office, we would do a lunch every Friday, and most places delivered to us (although it may have been an exception since we were a BIG group - 35+)

One of the nicest lunches was from Sweet Peas Southern. The food was great, there was plenty of it, and I swear people were not only going back for seconds, but thirds!

You might want to try them - it would be a fun "homestyle holiday" theme

Hope it helps!

PS - on a side note - don't give up hope on seeing me at the Forum offline dinners - I really wanted to join you at Seviche, but there was just too much going on with the holiday!

I saw that Puccini's Smiling Teeth is now delivering, but I don't know if they'll go all the way downtown. Their pizza and salads are very good.

The Cafe delivers and does an excellent job.

If you don't mind picking it up Bistro 301 has excellent food the owner is Matt Mershon - He may be able to deliver given enough advanced notice

Boombozz

by Tony P. » Thu Dec 13, 2007 8:00 pm

Bill,

I think Boombozz is a great idea! We deliver to certain parts of downtown and because you are a forumite you get the "Hot Byte" special, 30% off your order.

Email me if you have more questions tonyboombozz@bellsouth.net

Danny macs pizza, just off popular level rd are independantly owned and have great pizza.

I'm not sure if they deliver downtown or not but it would be worth picking up too.
