The Ville Taqueria - Former Lula's/Carolina Shrimp Company

I noticed some work going on in the former Lula's/Carolina Shrimp Company location and took a peek inside. No workers were there, so I didn't get any details. Looks like it is going to be a Mexican style joint. Anybody have any info?

Considering its location in the middle of the St Matthews "zone," I'm guessing Mexican pizza!

Can anyone find their web page or a menu on-line? The links on facebook are both unconnected.

Looks like they've purchased the links and parked them at GoDaddy, presumably while they (or a contractor) builds a website. Not great, but it'll be okay if they get something up and running before they open for business.

There's a little more information here:

http://www.courier-journal.com/story/en ... /13455569/

The Ville Taqueria owner Fabian Garcia says, “We’re gonna do it just like in Mexico, maybe even a little better.” He plans to offer tacos with made-from-scratch tortillas; tortas; and burritos. Dishes will be served with flavored salsas “like you would have out on the street in Mexico,” he says.

Garcia plans to hold a soft opening the first week of August, but is waiting for a liquor license. They’ll serve margaritas, “bourbonritas” and micheladas — a beer, tomato juice and hot sauce concoction that he’s excited about sharing with Louisville.

I think this place will be nice, but I have to call this out: You can get a michelada at just about any local taqueria with a beer license, and Wild Rita's also has 'em. Spicy beer bloody marys, what's not to like?
