If my rent, car payment, car insurance, child support, electric bill, gas bill, cable bill, etc. was based on tips because my employer pays me slave wages, I'd be pretty stupid to refer to those tipping me, which ensures my kids are feed, as dumb.

Awww it's ok. We're all friends here. Besides most of the posters here have been in/ are in a 'been there done that' situation. A little venting is good for the soul.
