Surprised nobody mentioned Mojito. One of my faves. So much flavor, variety, and talent to offer on small plates.

If you haven't nominated your favorites yet, please do so soon! In the next day or two, I'll compile a poll from those most nominated, and we'll see which eateries reign supreme!

1. Volare
2. Seviche
3. LaCoop
4. Place Downstairs
5. Palermo Viejo
6. Bourbon's Bistro
7. 610 Magnolia Wine Bar/special events
8. Decca
9. St. Charles Exchange
10. Bistro 1860
11. Rye
12. El Taco Luchador

I listed a lot, but these are always in play when visiting. I can find myself at Volare more than once on a visit, especially if they are having a special event such as the recent tour of Italy.

Major props to Wiltshire on Market for consistently offering up the most interesting (in my humble opinion) vegetarian specials in town!!

Other than that, I apparently have a strong affinity for anything the Martinez family is or has ever been involved in!

As I read each additional thread I find myself thinking, " oh yeah, that place is great too!" We have a honest to goodness wealth of great dining establishments here in town. (Unlike some other trendy cities that only have one or two acceptable places.) Every time I consider moving elsewhere I hold back thinking, " yeah, but what restaurants do they have?"
