Wild Turkey Germantown Schnitzelburg Blues Fest Kicks Off Today
The Kentuckiana Blues Society and Check’s Café is hosting the 5th annual Germantown Schnitzelburg Blues Festival TONIGHT, Friday, June 6 and Saturday, June 7 at the corner of Hickory Street and Burnett Avenue.
This year’s title sponsor is Wild Turkey Bourbon. The street festival will host three blues bands each evening starting at 6:30 p.m. and will play until midnight. Admission is free and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to Kosair Charities. Byron Davies, local blues bass player, along with Lamont Gillispie and 100 Proof, will be honored on this year’s festival T-shirt.
