Are you going to do The Place Downstairs and two Papalino's? More power to you, but us mere mortals occasionally need to sleep, and can only look with wonder!

Referring, I assume, to this Facebook post?

Allan has left Papalino's with a heavy heart but is excited for a new opportunity doing something closer to what he loves.

Onward and upward.

Does that mean Ethan is leaving TPD?

I was wondering the same thing. Doesn't seem like they would have 2 "Chef De Cuisine".

I've put out a note to Ethan letting him know that we're thinking of him and wishing him well. If he decides to post here - or to tell me something I can pass along - I'll do so pronto.

Not sure if there is a connection, but we wanted to try the east end papalinos tonight only to find they are closed.

I forget if they ever had it listed on their website, but I think they did. I just went to their website to check to see if it said anything, and the Springhurst isn't listed on their website?

Ed,
I didn't go. Went to look at their menu online since I had heard it was expanded beyond pizza. When I didn't see the store mentioned on the website I called the original store and asked. They said it was closed.

We were at the East End Papalino's last night (Saturday) and they were open. Dinner was delicious. Well staffed. Nothing seemed amiss.

Springhurst has MUCH shorter hours. For whatever reason they "push" the original location on-line (we in the suburbs do understand this Internet thing, whatever some think!), and the website has never listed Springhurst's hours. They are open, but close at something like 8:30pm during the week (and - if no one is there - has closed earlier).
