standard duty versus heavy duty.

by Alison Hanover » Wed Jun 04, 2014 7:35 pm

Help someone please!!!! I inherited a Toastmaster 7130 30" electric griddle when I bought AJ's. It still works fine, but I would like to upgrade to a 36". I have narrowed it down between a APW Wyott and another Toastmaster. However, these are both standard duty. Does anyone know if the 7130 is heavy duty or standard, and do I really need a heavy duty one to do predominantly gyros, burgers, toast pitas etc? It is so confusing!!!!!! there is quite a differrence in the price you see. I know the plate thickness determines whether it is standard or heavy duty.

I did a quicky search and all the listings i saw on eBay and used equipment dealers showed the Toastmaster 7130 30" electric griddle as heavy duty. :)

As with most things in life, you kinda get what you pay for...That being said are you looking at a new unit or used?
