Kentucky Proud Wine & Chocolate Tasting at Stoneware
June 19 Third Thursday Lifestyle Series to showcase Cellar Door Chocolates & Old 502 Winery.

What:

Held in Stoneware’s new GE Monogram Experience Kitchen, the June 19 Third Thursday Lifestyle Series will feature Old 502 Wine and Cellar Door Chocolate tastings both Kentucky Proud products.

A free event from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. the Lifestyle Series is designed to showcase authentic, local makers of products that complement the Stoneware products and lifestyle.

Who:

Attendees can expect to meet Logan Leet, Owner of Old 502 Winery, and Erika Chavez, Owner of Cellar Door Chocolates, who will explain their process and sample products.

Stoneware staff will be on hand to answer questions about products including the Stoneware Wine Coolers that can be stored in the freezer and used to keep wine chilled.

“The Kentucky Proud Wine & Chocolate Tasting brings together several Kentucky Proud businesses for a single event,” Agriculture Commissioner James Comer said. “This collaboration will add value to all these businesses’ great products. When Kentucky Proud members work together, everyone wins.”

Old 502 Winery makes its nine unique varieties of wine in downtown Louisville, using grapes sourced from Kentucky farmers.

Since 2007, Cellar Door Chocolates has been sourcing the finest ingredients and creating unique flavor combinations in handmade truffles, buttercreams, sea salt caramels, and small batch bourbon balls among other chocolate treats.

Stoneware has been hand making and hand painting pottery for the home, garden and kitchen for 199 years.

Kentucky Proud is the state’s official farm marketing program. The Kentucky Proud logo stands for food and farm products raised, made, or processed in Kentucky. Buying Kentucky Proud helps Kentucky family farmers and small businesses make a living.

Cost:
Free and open to the public, no reservation needed.

And for the first 197 years or so they were known as "Louisville Stoneware". When did the branding change to "Stoneware", I wonder??

I wondered the same thing, Jay! It looked as if it came from a PR company, so I just assumed it was a screw-up. :mrgreen:

Well, the url is louisvillestoneware.com but the homepage brands it simply as "Stoneware" and they use a mix of both names throughout. This sentence annoys me (for several reasons): LISA MULLINS MASTERS took over the day-to-day reigns at Stoneware in 2007 and continues to provide vision and leadership to the entire team at Louisville Stoneware."
