The fact that legally has more people on this list than Atlanta, Nashville and many other major cities in the southeast really says something for our dining scene! I'm sure if you randomly asked people I would certainly think that Charleston SC, Savannah GA, Charlotte NC, etc. were all places with fine dining in the southeast yet none of them had anyone on this list.
