No more taco places, please.

by Jason H » Mon May 05, 2014 11:18 am

I just went to El Taco Luchador this past week and loved it. However, we have more than enough taco places now (Taco Punk, El Camino, Manny and Merle, El Taco Luchador). And even though it is a chain let's not forget Chipotle is expanding quickly in Louisville.

I love a good taco. I mean really love a good taco. I also love really good pizza as well, but Louisville has enough pizza places as well.

I just think we need to nip the taco craze in the bud before it gets out of control. What will be the next local craze and get we get on to it?

Judging from the menus I've seen lately, there's little doubt in my mind that whatever the craze it will involve Kale in some form or other (e.g. Kale Burgers, Kale-food truck, Kale Tacos, Kale Martinis)

Shame on you. One can never have enough tacos.

Chipotle sells nothing resembling a taco.

PS I would like to point out OP is being extremely culturally insensitive as well bringing up a taco ban on Cinco De Mayo.

Based on the discussions posted here last week it looks like we have already reached a saturation point on places that call themselves Barbecue restaurants! Seems like around every corner there is a place smoking meat! Most of them certainly aren't worth talking about but they all claim they are famous.

I am not Jewish but judging from a previous thread it seems Louisville could use a restaurant that can promote itself as being Kosher. With, what? Three or four temples in the area couldn't Louisville support a Kosher restaurant?
