The new "The brewery"

by Jeremy Coker » Tue Apr 29, 2014 3:44 pm

I stumbled upon this article a day or 2 ago about Shawn Ward taking over The Brewery.

So today my wife and I happened to stop in for lunch and it was really good. It was my first time visiting the space and it was much nicer than I expected. It is a large open space with a lot of seating and a great large outdoor patio with a huge bar. The food was great too. I had a grilled country ham sandwich on Blue Dog bread and my wife had a Fried Green tomato sandwich with mozzarella and country ham. I didn't get a chance to check out the dinner menu but overall I was impressed and will definitely return.
Has anyone else been? Thoughts?

I had lunch there today. It was busy but not packed. There were six of us at a table. The food was pretty good; I had the All American Burger and fries. The burger was good, but the fries weren't quite fresh - not cold, but barely warm. Homemade ketchup was good. Service was friendly but a little slow. We had to wait almost ten minutes to order. The kitchen was slow as well. it took almost a half hour to get our food.

Everyone enjoyed the food and would return. We'll chalk up the delays to getting the kinks worked out.

Cheers,

Doug
