Birthday dinner Tues or Wed

by Charles W. » Mon Apr 28, 2014 12:22 pm

So, I should be able to figure this out on my own, but I can't think of anything.

I'm being taken out for a birthday dinner this week. i wanted to go to Mussell&Burger, but my daughter is a somewhat picky vegetarian, and their veggie options are a little too far out there. I'm looking to try one of the new places in town--not men's jacket required type of place that would have some good veggie options. Thoughts?

This vegetarian would love to help - but what things/types of things is she picky about? Would help guide my suggestions. I am guessing mushrooms might be one if you don't like the look of M&BB?

Not into mushrooms, beets, olives, kale.

I looked at the Wild Rita's menu, and most of their burritos, enchiladas, etc. come with meat optional. That could work.

How about Wild Rita's? The has several interesting looking vegetarian options on the menu and I'm sure if you asked they could come up with some others very easily.

The Place Downstairs (beneath M&BB) is one of the most amazing new places in town, and they do have veggie options and are willing to modify other dishes to make them meat-free. The bill of fare is a little bit "creative," but everything we had there was delicious, and it's more than reasonably priced for a special occasion.

It's not new, but if you go to the Silver Dollar on Tuesdays, they do amazing vegetarian specials!! Trying to support their efforts in doing interesting vegetarian food....
