I'm sure that those cocktails are very good but they certainly don't interest me. I'm much more enthused by cocktails that have a limited number of ingredients such as Manhattan's and the like. Another factor is that I'm sure the ratios of ingredients is very critical to making it taste the same every time and that's hard to duplicate from one bartender to another. I also like cocktails that I can make at home and the majority of these don't sound like that's something that could be reasonably done because of the ingredients list.

Funny, I had the opposite reaction as Mark. I think those look great. When I go out I like to try unique things that I would NOT make at home. My home bar is not stocked with many of those ingredients. Reservation made at 211 Clover for next Friday in honor of my special guest's birthday!!!

You have it right. It's all about proportion. She does it better than most anybody in the city. Balance, consideration and fresh flavors are her game. She synchronizes with Chef Schuster beautifully.

I can tell you that every single drink the woman has ever put in front of me has been an eye-opening experience.

If you like it simple, she'd be more than happy to accommodate you- it's just we all get to be a little more creative on our cocktail menus. Have fun, be a little more playful and garner some high-fives from our guests and fellows.

It has been way too long since my last visit to 211.

Those do sound tasty, but not in the realm of my "homemade bar", here at the house. Where would one go to buy, organic cucumber mint vodka? I have had cucumber vodka and it was good.... I need to figure out how to get in a Benedictine. That could be a drink right there, and isn't there a bacon vodka? I dumpster dove a '70 's waterbed headboard, sans mirror, flipped it around and put some "fancy glass" in the center. Had some cedar laying around and trimmed it out. Nice faux marble top, and a foot rail. It cost me less than one of those drinks. 8)

It's a professional bar. I'm sorry you feel that way. It'd be cool to have you on our side.

:D

PS. I can tell you how to make your own bacon vodka and then some other variations on the theme- PM me.
