Jazz Factory wins CJ's praise

by Robin Garr » Sat Dec 08, 2007 8:28 am

Marty gives a glowing, makes-you-want-to-eat review to the Jazz Factory, which is also a favorite of mine, appropriately praises the music venue and finds plenty to like about its current bill of fare, which has been completely revised over the past year, shifting from meals sent over from Jarfi's to meals made on the premises with consultation from Park Place.

No real nits to pick this week, although as usual I find a disparity between the words of the review and the star rating. I won't argue for a fourth star - the menu is too short, and mostly small plates. But the tone of the 575-word review certainly reads more like 3 1/2 stars than 3.

good for them! The food has become great ever since Ken kicked Jarfi's out of there. Hopefully this will give them the boost in business they need right now.

Their entrees and desserts are pretty good, although their appetizers feel a bit bare. And their menu is indeed small. But then, I went there for the jazz. :)
